Web Development

Web development is the process of creating and maintaining websites. It encompasses a wide range of tasks and skills, including web design, web content development, client-side/server-side scripting, and web server and network security configuration, among others.

Web development can be divided into two main categories:

Front-end development, also known as client-side development, which is focused on the user interface and the user experience. Front-end developers use languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create the visual and interactive elements of a website.

Back-end development, also known as server-side development, which is focused on the functionality of the website. Back-end developers use languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby and Java to create the code that communicates with the database and server, powering the website’s functionality.

Web development can also include e-commerce development, content management systems (CMS) development, and mobile web development.

Web development is a constantly evolving field as new technologies and trends are emerging all the time, web developers must continue to learn and keep up to date with the latest developments to create websites that are efficient, effective and user-friendly.
